A Sassy Good Time

The National Subaru Women’s Winter Tour has been dubbed women’s winter recess.  It’s a chance to let your hair down, sample some goodies (beef stew, chicken soup, cookies, chocolate dipped pretzels, Starbucks liquor, chai and so much more), win prizes and help others while you’re having a blast.

Sounds like fun!
The National Subaru Women’s Winter Tour (WWT) is located in nine cities in the U.S. This is a day for women to chill out (yes, it’s outside), get in a little exercise, enjoy lots of fun, sample some great goodies, and possibly win some prizes.

The Pittsburgh leg (my hometown and one I’m organizing) of the Women’s Winter Tour is scheduled for Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort from 9 AM to 1 PM. Participants can cross country ski, snow show, or hike (if Mother Nature keeps the snow away) on the 3, 5 or 10K trail. And gals can do all three if they wish. However, the fun part comes in on the trails. Attendees have the chance to sample cookies, goodies, soup and more. Then, there’s sampling of some wine and a chocolate fountain.

And that’s not all, participants receive a certificate for a free facial at Saks Fifth Avenue and have a chance to win a pair of Fischer skis or a one-day workshop hosted by Decorating Workshops. More things are added weekly to make this a women’s winter wonderland.

And you can get all of this for $50.

Now, comes the part about the good cause—domestic abuse. A portion of the proceeds will benefit two local charities: Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh and Women’s Help Center , serving Cambria and Somerset Counties
